There are many types of slots that can be used in a sentence. Depending on the context, you can map multiple slots to one another, or none at all. In general, the slots can be mapped to entities such as the number of rooms required, number of nights, date, and type of room. Once the utterance has been mapped, you can add more slots by using the Slots or Utterance tabs. To add more slots, enter the name of the slot in the utterance.

Using BigQuery, you can request any number of slots for a query stage. The number of slots you request does not correspond to the amount of capacity purchased. Instead, it is indicative of the amount of parallelization that is appropriate for your query. If you use more slots than you have allocated, you don’t have to pay for additional on-demand rates. The default number of slots is sufficient for most users. BigQuery monitoring can help you determine how much you’ll need for a query.
