Each betting interval (or round) begins when a player to the left puts into the pot some number of chips. Then, each player to the left must “call” by putting into the pot the same number of chips; or “raise,” which means putting into the pot more than enough chips to call; or “drop” (“fold”), which means putting no chips into the pot and discarding their hand.<\/p>\n
When a player folds, they lose all the chips that put into the pot. The betting interval ends when all the bets have been equalized or a player has matched the last bet made by another player.<\/p>\n
